  2. Interns must be citizens of one of the 23 states where BNSF operates in the United States. There are 13 states in this region: Arkansas, Illinois, Nevada, Missouri, Louisiana, and Wyoming, as well as Iowa, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Arizona, Nebraska, California, Kansas, Colorado, Montana, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oklahoma, the North. Dakota, Texas, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, Utah. Applicants must have a CGPA of at least 3.0 to be considered for the grant.
  3. Applicants must be enlisted members, or direct descendant of a clan considered by the government to be American Indian, Alaskan Native, or member of a Pacific Island tribe or deceased of a Pacific Island tribe, or a member of a Native American tribe in Canada.
